Wallasey covers CH44 and CH45 on the north-east tip of the Wirral, from New Brighton along the Mersey shore and back through Liscard, Poulton and Seacombe. The stock is a genuine mixed bag: Victorian terrace on the inner streets around Wallasey Village and Liscard, 1930s semi-detached on the mid-town residential roads, and some post-war estate housing further inland.

New Brighton faces north across the Mersey mouth toward the open water, and the rooflines on Marine Promenade, Victoria Road and the roads directly behind the shore take considerable wind loading. The Victorian terraces in that coastal section carry original Welsh slate in many cases, and the pitch-and-felt combination from the original build has long since perished, which means any leak investigation that pulls back a slate usually finds saturated timber beneath. Slate re-fixing with a new breathable membrane is a more cost-effective solution than a full reroof on properties where the Welsh blue itself is structurally sound.

Liscard and Poulton are more sheltered and the work pattern is closer to Birkenhead: chimney-led Victorian terrace work supplemented by 1930s semi reroof demand as original concrete tile reaches end-of-life.
